A man armed with a knife stabbed one person to death and seriously injured another in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The police reported that they arrested a suspect, who was also seriously injured. He was taken to the hospital.
According to Dutch public broadcaster Nos, witnesses said the suspect shouted “Allah Akbar” (God is the greatest) during the attack. A gym teacher who was giving a class near the Erasmus Bridge, where the attack took place, told the broadcaster that he tried to stop the attack. “I saw a man with two long knives stabbing a young man,” he said.
