The Antonello da Messina marathon on Sunday: Lorenzo Lotti will also be there

It has reached its 14th edition the Antonello da Messina marathon which will be the protagonist on the streets of the city center on Sunday. The event, which is part of the international road racing circuit, was presented this morning at Palazzo Zanca and will see the participation of around 400 athletes for the competitive race but there will also be the Half Marathon, the Shakespear run on a shorter route and Fit walking, a non-competitive walk that will take place at the same time as the race on the same ring to encourage the participation not only of competitive athletes but also of those he wants to experience a day of sport in the open air.

The route, closed to car transit, includes the departure around 8.30 and the arrival on the mountain side lane of via Garibaldi near Piazza Unione Europea and will wind between Corso Cavour, Piazza Duomo, via I Settembre, Piazza Cairoli, Viale San Martino up to Viale Europa and the return for a 5 kilometer and two hundred meter tour to be carried out twice for the Shakespear run and Fitwalking, 4 times for the half marathon and 8 times for the marathon with a maximum expected time of five hours. Also in the city is Lorenzo Lotti, the Emilian who won two editions, in 2023 and 2019.
