The escalation of the conflict between Israel and Palestine is increasingly worrying. A war that is also influencing the world of football, as demonstrated by the tragic story of Ben Binyamina footballer who played for Kiryat Yam, a team in the Israeli fourth division.

This young defender born in ’94 was the victim of a terrible accident while trying to escape an offensive launched by the armed rebel groups of Hamas, near the border of the Gaza Strip. During the attack, a grenade hit him, causing injuries so serious that he was rushed to hospital by his girlfriend. Unfortunately, despite the doctors’ efforts, his leg could not be saved, and amputation was necessary.
