Between smiles of circumstance and tears of disappointment, the season of bellyaches in regional politics begins. Occhiuto’s appointments have reopened the doors of power. A party for a few guests at the grand gala (5 councilors identified by politics and two chosen by the president) amidst the frustrations and bitterness of those who remained on the landing and were unable to enter. A climate of resentment that produces toxins. The smiles on the surface hide the anger that is building in the back rooms of the parties. A discontent that is palpable, above all, in the “Occhiuto Presidente” list. In the Cosentino area, for days, there was a not at all peaceful tug of war between Pierluigi Caputo and Rosaria Succurro (respectively first and second on the list in terms of number of votes). Tensions that would have influenced the outcome of the derby with a strategic conclusion, without winners or losers. Succurro would be the most embittered.
