A tomb from the Brettian era (4th century BC) emerged during the excavation works on the slope of the Sant’Elia hill. The presence of a burial among the sandstone soil of the hill was reported on November 28 by the Edil Cesistenza Parise company which is carrying out the work for the construction of a nursery school; the work is financed with 480 thousand euros from Pnrr funds. On 3 December, under the direction of the area manager of the Superintendence, Vittoria Falbo, with the archaeologists Antonio Montesanti and Pietro Chimenti, the excavation was opened which brought to light a “capuchin” tomb which Dr. Falbo dated between the 4th and 3rd century.
