It is 20 missing soldiers but it is inevitably destined to worsen the toll of the fall of the Turkish C-130 military cargo plane, which crashed near the border between Turkey and Georgia. This was made known by the Ankara army which did not provide clarification on the cause of the accident. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also spoke on the tragedy, expressing “deep sorrow” and “condolences” to the “families of the martyrs”.
Army units are flying to the site of the tragedy for recovery operations and to rescue any survivors. The Georgian army was mobilized. The plane had taken off from a military base in Azerbaijan and was expected in Türkiye. Erdogan also received a condolence call from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
