During the phone call with Vladimir Putin, according to the Washington Post, Donald Trump advised the Russian president not to escalate the war in Ukraine and reminded him of Washington’s substantial military presence in Europe.

European continent, and the American president-elect has expressed interest in further conversations to discuss “a rapid resolution of the war in Ukraine”: the Washington Post writes, citing several sources.

Peskov denies everything: “Pure fiction”

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov denied that there had been a phone call between Vladimir Putin and US president-elect Donald Trump. “There was no conversation, it’s pure fiction,” said Peskov, quoted by the Tass agency, regarding the rumors published by the Washington Post.
