The Court of Auditors of Calabria stings the administrators of the “Progetto Ecologia” company in Cirò Marina. The accounting judges of the jurisdictional section sentenced Alessandro Albano, Rosanna Lionetti and Antonio Lionetti, legal representatives of the company specialized in the collection, transport and disposal of dangerous and non-hazardous waste, to compensate the Region with 740 thousand euros. The reason? All three would have caused treasury damage to the Cittadella for having unduly received, between 2014 and 2016, the financing from the Por Calabria 2007-2013 funds.
The trial for administrative responsibility arose from the investigation by the Crotone Finance Police which reported to the Accounting Prosecutor’s Office alleged anomalies in the public allocation obtained from the “Ecology Project”. According to the accusation, the resources collected by the company would have been used to pay for work carried out only in part by two other companies, “Enears” and “Edilword”. Which – according to the Accounting Prosecutor’s Office – “have never recorded in their accounts the invoices issued” towards “Progetto Ecologia”.
