US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have reached an agreement to strike Iran. This was written by the Lebanese newspaper al-Akhbar, affiliated with Hezbollah, according to which the agreement was defined during a meeting in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, on December 29th.
The conditions of the agreement
According to the newspaper, the agreement would include an attack against Tehran if the Islamic Republic does not completely stop its nuclear program and does not end support for its regional allies. The information, al-Akhbar reports, would have reached the Beirut authorities through high-level international and Western sources.
The role of Saudi Arabia
Again according to the Lebanese newspaper, Saudi Arabia is engaged in mediation with Tehran to avoid an escalation. Riyadh would fear that a direct conflict or internal collapse of Iran could spread instability to the entire Gulf area, with direct consequences on regional and energy security.
