I am 12 Italian films which will compete in the designation of the candidate title to represent Italy in the selection for the International Feature Film Award category 96th Academy Awards. Films distributed in Italy or abroad (excluding the United States), or scheduled to be distributed, in the period between 1 December 2022 and 31 October 2023 have proposed their candidature. The selection commission, established at the ‘ANICA at the request of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, will meet for vote on the designated title on September 20, 2023. The shortlist announcement is expected on December 21, 2023. The Nominations will be announced on January 23, 2024, while the Oscar ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on March 10, 2024.
