After years of waiting, commitment and determination, the safety works on the Zambrone seafront have officially begun. A long-awaited intervention, financed in 2019, which represents the largest public work ever carried out in the municipal area.
The project, the result of a long and complex administrative process, will allow the community to have a safer, more modern and welcoming seafront. The works will have an expected duration of 18 months and will mark the beginning of a new season of development for Zambrone Marina, destined to become a point of reference for citizens and tourists. In short, an intervention whose value goes far beyond municipal borders.
Mayor Corrado L’Andolina, expressing satisfaction and pride for the important goal achieved, declared: «I think of the sacrifices, the difficulties, the setbacks, the moments of discouragement, but also the tenacity, the desire for progress, the ambition to make the seafront a symbol of good administration and love for the territory. I am truly proud and moved by this result, the result of enormous work, a lot of courage and the key to a new and beautiful page in municipal history. Now it will be necessary for the Region to take action to build underwater barriers, in the Zambrone-Parghelia direction, in order to effectively combat the phenomenon of coastal erosion.”
The intervention is the result of constant commitment on the part of the municipal administration and the group Identity and Future for Zambronewho in two mandates has placed the development of the territory among his priorities.
