The entire episode was captured on security camera, showing the little protagonist enjoying a frappuccino (a cold drink made with coffee, ice and whipped cream) inside the store when police arrived on the scene.
The adventure unfolded in the early morning, when the girl’s family noticed that both she and the family car, a 2020 Nissan Rogue, were missing. Video from a neighbor’s surveillance camera showed the girl getting into the vehicle and driving away from the home around 7:00 a.m. Along the way, she hit a mailboxbut fortunately he did not suffer any injuries.
The police tracked the car to the parking lot of the Targetabout 25 minutes away, and found the little girl sitting quietly inside the store with her drink. Officers joked on Facebook that they found “a customer more eager to shop than anyone else.” Police allowed her to finish her frappuccino before her family brought her home.
The incident, although causing much concern, ended without serious consequences.
