The 2024 Theater Season of the Municipality of Cassano Allo Ionio was presented. Six shows that will start on Saturday 13 January with “Tutto il mondo è Calabrese” by Gennaro Calabrese and will end after Easter, Friday 19 April, with “O…tello, O…io!” with Francesco Paolantoni. A high-level theater season that projects the Cassanese theater among the best places of Calabrian culture even in the year that has just begun.
The mayor attended the presentation – which was held in the Sybarite municipality Giovanni Papassothe councilor with responsibility for the Theatre, Elisa Fasanella, and the artistic director Andrea Solano. Also present at the proceedings were the entire municipal council and the other representative of Creativa Srl, the association that organizes the series of shows on behalf of the Municipality, Liborio Salerno.

Six shows with a single objective, which is also that of the entire municipal administration: to bring culture and love for theater to the center of attention, especially among the new generations.”

It has the social role of accompanying the life of an entire community, involving all generations. And this theater season, with the addition of morning shows dedicated to students, and afternoon shows for children and families, will attract the interest of audiences of all ages. I thank – he concluded – the Municipal Administration of Cassano because it believes in the high educational and social value of theatrical action and invests in it. And I thank you for granting Creativa the burden and above all the honor of filling this wonderful Municipal Theater of ours with dreams, great characters, exciting stories and many smiles.”
«We started in January – specified the mayor Giovanni Papasso – so as not to create overlaps between the program of Christmas events and those of the theater season. Thanks to the work of Creativa di Andrea Solano and Liborio Salerno who has been supporting us in this project for some time, we are managing to bring a lot of people from outside Cassano to our wonderful municipal theater and this is what we are aiming for to relaunch our city. Of course, the cultural and theatrical activities for 2024 will not stop at this season. This year we aim to make Cassano, as well as a construction site city, also a city of culture. Which is why we are working to organize a summer theater season in Sibari to focus even more on quality tourism.”
In closing, Mayor Papasso addressed a speech I invite everyone, citizens of Cassano and beyond: «Come to the theater because we will entertain you with an excellent theater season dedicated to pure culture».
