Catanzaro, the municipal administration visiting the Army barracks: shared some plans

The Mayor of the City of Catanzaro, Prof. Nicola Fioritaaccompanied by the Deputy Mayor, Dr Giuseppina Iemmaby the President of the City Council, Avv. Gianmichele Boscoand some councilors of the municipal council, visited the “Calabria” Army Military Command, welcomed by the Commander, Colonel Ugo Gaetawhich illustrated the mission and tasks of the Command.

During the visit, Colonel Gaeta highlighted the project of dematerialisation of the military files of all Calabrian citizens born from 1860 onwards, kept by the Command.

She was also recalled the importance of activities aimed at seeking possible synergies with the industrial sector, the academic world and the research centers present in the regional territory in the sector of technological innovation.

The visit was an opportunity to share some projects already started during the year, such as the one relating to the historical and architectural valorisation of the “Pepe-Bettoja” Barracks aimed at including the important military garrison in the program of events proposed by the FAI .

The visit ended with the Mayor’s greeting to all the military and civilian personnel of the Command and on this occasion Prof. Fiorita expressed words of gratitude for the invitation received which allowed him to get to know the reality of the Army Military Command ” Calabria” and finally expressed sincere gratitude for the service that the Army soldiers carry out daily in favor of the community, wishing for fruitful relations with the Command, in favor of the city of Catanzaro and in the common interest.
