A 31-year-old man was arrested in Cesarò, in the province of Messina, on charges of improper use and falsification of payment instruments. The arrest occurred at the end of an operation conducted by the Carabinieri of the local station, with the support of the Nicolosi Dog Unit (Catania).
During a search of his home, the military found five credit cards registered to different people, two of which were found to be used for three telematic scams that occurred between 2024 and 2025 in various Italian locations. A dose of marijuana was also found in the house, and for this reason the man was reported to the Prefecture of Messina as a drug user. The 31-year-old is now under house arrest, awaiting the validation hearing.
