The carabinieri of the Rossano station and the agents of the Corigliano Rossano police station carried out a precautionary measure in prison against a 42-year-old, already known to the police, resident in the Neapolitan hinterland, considered seriously suspected of the thefts carried out in Rossano on the night of 23 October 2025. The investigation is coordinated by the Castrovillari prosecutor’s office, led by the chief prosecutor Alessandro D’Alessio.

The man – who is already detained in the Naples Poggioreale prison for another reason – is accused of having targeted some businesses along Via De Rosis: the municipal delegation of Corigliano Rossano, a driving school and a roastery. In all cases, entry had been forced, damage had been caused and small sums of money and other goods had been stolen.

The investigations

The first useful elements were collected during the judicial police inspections. Subsequent investigations, carried out independently by the police and carabinieri and then merged into the same file, led to the identification of the same suspect, with further evidence obtained during a search.

Within 24 hours, investigators reconstructed the alleged involvement of the 42-year-old and sent the documents to the Prosecutor’s Office, which asked the investigating judge to issue the precautionary measure.
