Cosenza K42, excellent first: wins the overall cross title in Sibari

The relaunch year begins according to prediction: Cosenza K42 won the overall cross title in the Sibari race. The Cosenza club occupied the top step of the podium at the end of the only race held, thus gaining a pass for the Italian Championships on 22 February in Selinunte, in the province of Trapani.

The company ranking

In the senior men’s ranking, Cosenza K42 (10 points) preceded Marathon Cosenza (20) and CorriCastrovillari (42), completing an entirely Cosenza podium.

Qualification for the tricolors also for Run For Catanzaro (18 points), which in the women’s ranking narrowly surpassed CorriCastrovillari (19) and Polisportiva Magna Graecia.

The men’s race

The 10 km cross-country race was won out of the standings by Zohair Hadar of Avis Barletta (33’48”). The individual title then went to Nicola Mazzara of Cosenza K42 with a time of 33’58”.

Behind him Mattias Rizzotto of the Krotoniate Athletic School (34’05”), Fabrizio Meoli of Cosenza K42 (34’12”), Emilio Pagnotta of Marathon Cosenza (34’27”), Thomas Fekre of CorriCastrovillari (34’38”) and Andrea Pranno of Cosenza K42 (35’21”).

The women’s competition

In the women’s race, title and first place went to Teresa Paula Dominguez of Marathon Cosenza. Also on the podium were Karyna Hlukhova of CorriCastrovillari and Rosa Ciccone and Verdiana Martucci of Polisportiva Magna Graecia.

Followed by the Run For Catanzaro trio, made up of Morena Sestito, Larissa Votano and Rosanna Amendola, who took first place in the women’s club ranking.
