Having received the support of the civic movement relating to the councilor Francesco De Cicco, the issue linked to the Democratic Party must be resolved, one of the most representative government forces in the municipal chamber, which is, however, affected by internal disagreements, which are reflected in the stability of the centre-left majority, because if on the one hand Franz Caruso would like to keep Giuseppe Mazzuca as president of the Council, leaving the role of deputy mayor in the hands of Maria Locanto, on the other the city club of the democrats, in fact, who gathered the board of directors on Wednesday, would see Mazzuca very well in the role of Caruso’s deputy, also pushing to strengthen the presence of the Democratic Party through, for example, the appointment of another councilor of reference, when in the executive the party already has a delegate holder, Damiano Covelli, relating to Public Works. Any repositioning, such as the transition of Mazzuca from the presidency of the assembly to the position of deputy mayor, could lead Bianca Rende to the leadership of the municipal assembly, recovering another piece of the alliance signed in the past elections.
