Cosenza, the network of schools Let’s get excited at a symposium to talk about beauty

Building civic sense starting from the social and cultural value of beauty. This is the spirit with which the Cosenza section of the ANDE (National Association of Electrical Women) and the network of “Emozioniriamoci” schools promote on the morning of Friday 8 November at 9 am, in the “G. Giacomantonio” of the National Library of Cosenza, a meeting entitled “Let’s get excited: all the beauty of the world”. The meeting, which can also be accessed via live streaming, is part of the educational paths for civil coexistence starting from the theme of “beauty”. An event that brings the results of the first two intense years of “Emozioniamoci” activity with the Association and is managed by the five founding schools of the Network, which have now become seven. The work, coordinated by the journalist and president of ANDE Cosenza, Giovanna Bergantin, will begin with greetings from the director of the National Library of Cosenza, Adele Bonofiglio. Dialogues with the young audience will be Maria Carmela De Maio, professor and director of ANDE, Fabio Bruno, professor of the Department of Mechanical, Energy and Management Engineering of the University of Calabria, Luigi Orsino, director of the Museum of Brettii and the Sea of ​​Cetraro and the Captain Giacomo Geloso, commander of the Carabinieri Unit for the Protection of Calabrian Cultural Heritage. Representatives of the students from the Comprehensives of Montalto Scalo -Taverna, Quattromiglia di Rende, “Roberta Lanzino” of Cosenza and those of the students of the Liceo Fermi-Polo Brutium of Cosenza, of the IO Liceo Classico of S. Demetrio Corone, of the IIS LS-IPSC-IPSIA-ITI of Cariati and of the leader, Liceo Classico Gioacchino da Fiore of Rende. At the end of the morning, ANDE Cosenza and the Emozioniamoci Network will present Raffaele Percacciuolo with a commemorative plaque in honor of his father, Franco Percacciuolo. Owner of a bookshop specializing in schools since 1982, Franco Percacciuolo was an innovative bookseller as well as a bold experimenter. He remains for everyone an example of a person who carried out his work with great commitment, seriousness and passion.
