The tender for the construction of the works has been published redevelopment of the historic former Coni swimming pool. This was communicated by the councilor for Complex Programs Luca Bossi. The total amount of the loan amounts to 6,200,000 EUR of which 4,871,000 places are based on the tender for the realization of the intervention, which can be started immediately. It will be possible to submit an application until February 1, 2024. The executive project, approved by the municipal council in recent days, provides for the full redevelopment and refunctionalization of the structure, an identity for an entire community. An intervention at zero cost for the citizens and for the institution’s budget for a structure that will have an architectural value and in harmony with the pre-existing urban context, designed for use of the swimming pool throughout the year, depending on the climatic conditions, openable and in direct contact with the sea thanks to complete transparency from the pedestrian side. It will be a sports structure suitable for hosting water polo competitions (33m long) and with a space between the sea and the swimming pool that transforms into a square where recreational activities can be carried out.

“It’s an important day for the whole community. A Christmas gift for the city and a fundamental step for the redevelopment of the structure and the entire area in which the Administration has believed since the first day of its inauguration. It was teamwork that led to this result and we are now waiting for the next steps” declares the councilor for Complex Programs Luca Bossi.
