Now the Crotone-Rome flight could become a reality and don’t just remain a resolution on paper.
Indeed they were three companies who submitted an economic offer to the tender called last May 31 by the National Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) and expired on July 31, to assign the air connection between the “Pythagoras” airport and the “Fiumicino” airport of the Capital (section covered by service charges). To participate were the carrier of the company “Ita” (the heir of “Alitalia”), the Spanish “Volotea” and “Sky Alps” of Bolzano. A step forward compared to what happened just seven months ago, when the ministerial announcement was deserted.
Today, however, the envelopes will be opened to evaluate the proposals. As is known, there are 13,281,817 euros of public service charges on the table which will be used to ensure the route with the Roman airport in the three-year period 2023-2026. The ENAC tender – on the basis of what was approved by the Services Conference held between the bodies involved – envisaged a daily flight to Crotone-Rome (which must be scheduled in the time slot between 8 and 9) and another daily for the return (between 5.30 and 6.30 pm).
