The Municipality of Sant’Agata Militello will not have to pay out 633 thousand euros which it had been condemned to pay as compensation to a local company for defaults resulting from the sale of a property. This was established by the Court of Appeal of Messina, completely reforming the sentence issued in 2022 by the Court of Patti, which had placed the payment of the claimed damage on the Entity.
The subject of the matter is the sale of a property in via Cosenz in the area in front of the railway station, previously used as a nursery, which in 2010 was included in the plan for the sale of municipal assets. After a long process characterized by an initial revocation of the assignment and a dispute before the administrative justice, in March 2013 the contract was signed for a total amount of approximately 173 thousand euros.
