Drug dealing in Catanzaro. 40 defendants acquitted

Acquittals and prescriptions, thus ends the trial of 40 people involved in the Lido Pulita 2 investigation and accused of illegal possession of drugs and trafficking of narcotic substances. In recent days, the sentence of the Collegiate Court arrived, chaired by Lidia Gennaro, alongside Lamanna and Sculco. The defense team was made up of lawyers Piero Chiodo, Antonio Ludovico, Anselmo Mancuso, Alessandro Guerriero, Maria Aiello and Vincenzo Filardo. The public prosecution was represented by prosecutor Francesca Ravizza who had requested sentences of up to six and a half years in prison.

In particular, the following were acquitted: Domenico Bernaschino, 65 years old; Andrea Bernaschino, 36; Marilena Passalacqua, 30; Antonio Bernaschino, 38; Dario Bernaschino, 32, all from Catanzaro; Maurizio Mela, 61, from Naples; Maurizio Passalacqua, 51; Fabio Bevacqua, 39; Antonio Bevilacqua, 45; Antonio Passalacqua, 56; Marco Passalacqua, 35; Domenico Passalacqua, 46; Cosimo Passalacqua, 40; Loredana Passalacqua, 37, all from Catanzaro; Giovannina Passalacqua, 65; Fiorina Passalacqua, 67, both from Strongoli; Antonio Passalacqua, 39, from Crotone; Daniele Passalacqua, 33; Enzo Passalacqua, 34, both from Catanzaro; Fiorella Passalacqua, 36, from Crotone; Franco Passalacqua, 40; Davide Vitaliano Doria, 31; Annamaria Basile, 35; Stefano Spiridetti, alias “Black o U Nigru”, 43; Raffaele Bianco, 57, all from Catanzaro; Antonio Leotta, 46, from Rome; Gregorio Calabretta, 55, from Borgia; Maurizio Iiritano, 59, from Catanzaro; Saverio Gualtieri, alias “Virus”, 29, from Catanzaro; Rosario Salvatore Fera, 32; Mario Fera, 33; Nicola Daniele Nocita, 31; Vincenzo Palermo, alias “Cecè”, 32; Lucio Marzano, 36; Manuel DeVito, 29; Stefano Teti, 34, all from Catanzaro; Gianluca Russo, 34, from Soverato; Vincenzo Moraca, alias “Codino”, 42; Giuseppe Celi, 46; Francesco Muriniti, alias “Ciccio”, 31, from Chiaravalle; Marco Costiera, alias “Seat”, 40 from Catanzaro. The Prosecutor’s Office had hypothesized drug trafficking, mostly cocaine and heroin, taken in Scampia and then resold in the districts of Germaneto, Viale Isonzo, Aranceto, Catanzaro Lido and Roccelletta di Borgia.
