Gas reverses course and drops to 32.3 euros, returning to 2021 prices. Fuels are also falling

The price of gas quickly reverses course compared to the start of the session. In Amsterdam, prices fell by 2.3% to 32.3 euros, reaching November 2021 levels. The decline since the beginning of the year also widened, reaching 57.4 percent.

Prices on the fuel network continue to decline, especially on diesel following the reductions decided by operators last week. The national averages fall, on self-service vehicles, below 1.77 euros/litre for petrol and just above 1.73 euros/litre for diesel. As for international prices of petroleum products, they closed higher on diesel again on Friday. Coming to the detail of the national network, based on the processing by Quotidiano Energia of the data communicated by the managers to the Mimit Price Observatory updated at 8am yesterday 17 December, the average price of petrol in self-service mode is 1.768 euros/litre (1.773 previous survey), with the companies between 1.758 and 1.778 euros/litre (no logo 1.769). The average price of self-service diesel is 1,733 euros/litre (against 1,742), with the different brands between 1,724 and 1,743 euros/litre (1,733 without logo).
