Despite repeatedly hinting at retirement, Kyrgios told News Corp’s Code Sports program that he will return for the World Tennis League exhibition tournament in December, then try his luck at the Australian Open in January. “I’m coming back because there’s something that forces me to play,” said the tennis player, also known for his outbursts on the court. Kyrgios pointed out that he has beaten almost all his opponents, that he has reached the final in a Slam, that he has won a doubles title in a Slam, several singles titles and that he has earned a lot. Now, his only goal is to win a Slam, believing it is the only thing that could finally silence the critics. Kyrgios has also worked as a commentator during his absence from the tennis courts.
