The Cosenza Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation to shed light on the death of Isabel Desiree Porco, the sixteen-year-old from Lattarico who died last September at the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome, after feeling suddenly ill while at school. The young woman was initially rescued at the Annunziata hospital in Cosenza, and was then urgently transferred to the capital, where she died. Following the tragedy, the girl’s family filed a complaint with the aim of clarifying any delays or critical issues in the rescue and diagnosis phases. The Bruzia Prosecutor’s Office, directed by Vincenzo Capomolla, is currently proceeding with a case for manslaughter against unknown persons, aimed at precisely reconstructing every step of the emergency operations and the care given to the young woman.
