“The Calabria Region invests, in a concrete and tangible way, in theeducation and skills of students. It does so by increasing another million euros the allocation already foreseen for the measurement “Live and discover Calabria”designed to encourage in our young people the discovery, knowledge and enhancement of the identity and cultural peculiarities of the Calabrian territory “.

To say it is theRegional Councilor for Education, Maria Stefania Caracciolowhich, in communicating the approval of the ranking of the public notice in question, also announces the simultaneous increase in the financial endowment dedicated to the specific measure of an additional € 938,865 in the context of the pr Calabria FESR FSE+ 2021/2027 – Action 4 and 1.

The measure is aimed at promoting the acquisition of key skills in the Calabrian young people, starting from transversal ones, through supplementary, cultural and flexible educational itineraries, made in mixed mode, between laboratory practices (such as school fields) and guided tours.

“For the Occhiuto junta, education is a fundamental tool for building an active and conscious citizenship – adds the commissioner Caracciolo – that’s why we decided to increase the funds available”.

The notice, aimed at primary and secondary schools in the whole region, recorded significant adhesion by schools. Therefore, in order to guarantee a wider participation and also finance the projects initially admissible results but not covered for lack of funds, the Region has ordered the increase in available resources, thus bringing the total commitment to over 3.9 million euros, thus managing to involve over 5 thousand pupils.

“The response of educational institutions shows that there is a strong request for educational experiences that go beyond the classroom – underlines the commissioner Caracciolo in conclusion – thanks to this further financial effort, we have been able to accommodate a greater number of projects, thus strengthening the link between school, territory and community, with the aim of forming students more aware of the job opportunities offered by the Calabrian territory, making them protagonists of the future of this land”.
