A long queue of vehicles, for several kilometres, formed yesterday on the ring road around 9pm due to a singular episode which is still under reconstruction. Along the A20, towards Messina, shortly after exiting the Baglio tunnel, following an accident with two other cars, a man got out of the car he was traveling in and showed great nervousness about the incident: from here the immediate stop to traffic and the formation of an exhausting queue of cars. Fortunately, the unexpected slowdown, which for some was abrupt, did not cause further accidents. Police officers from the Boccetta subsection and a 118 ambulance intervened on site to provide assistance to the nervous person and at the same time also to the exasperated motorists, allowing safety conditions to return. After more than an hour the case was solved thanks to the officers who convinced the man to be transported to the Papardo hospital. Thus the hardships of those who were no longer able to return home also ended.
