Faced with repeated episodes of damage to staff cars in the parking area of the Papardo hospital, “urgent interventions” are needed and those requested, with a note sent to the top management of the health company, but also to the Prefecture, are Uil Fpl, with the general secretary Livio Andronico, the medical area coordinator Paolo Todaro, the company secretary Luciano Cacciola and the unions.
«For several months – the trade unionists write – there have been repeated and worrying episodes of damage, and just yesterday (Monday, ed.) even a theft, to the cars of the staff on duty, parked inside the parking area» of the Papardo company. Events that «are generating a widespread climate of concern and discomfort among workers, who should not be forced to go to the workplace with anxiety and fear about what could happen to their assets during working hours. It is essential, in fact, that employees can carry out their tasks in a context of serenity, safety and tranquility, essential conditions to guarantee efficiency and quality of the service provided to users”.
These are the requests of Uil Fpl: «Enhance the video surveillance system currently present in the parking area; strengthen the active surveillance service, also through a different and more effective distribution of the personnel in charge, providing patrols with preventive purposes”. Interventions “now no longer postponable, in order to protect employees and guarantee adequate working conditions in terms of safety and protection of personal assets”. An appeal also to the prefect, “to evaluate the adoption of any strategies and initiatives deemed suitable to strengthen territorial control activities, with particular reference to the area concerned, to protect public order and safety”.
