There is the signature of the manager Emiliano Conforto on the resolution approving the resolution of the Council for the leasing and the approval of the private agreement scheme for the property of the former Sant’Anna institute in the Municipality of Messina. The agreement between the Diocese and Palazzo Zanca was already reached last spring, now there is ratification which gives the green light to the works for the use of the building for school classrooms. A breath of fresh air for many students also in view of the many renovation works that various institutes have to face in this period, from Cannizzaro-Galatti to Mazzini and also the Maurolico high school which, however, depends on the Metropolitan City.

The agreement, concluded last 14 and 15 October with a note from the Archdiocese and with the technical authorization of the school buildings maintenance service, provides for the leasing of the institute in Via XXIV Maggio for an annual amount of 54,379 euros with a monthly rent of 4,531 euros. The Municipality has undertaken to pay the rent six months in advance from the date of delivery of the property. The building, however, requires some renovation works for which the Archdiocese itself is committed to carrying out: the placement of the stairlift and the construction of the second emergency exit on Via Scalinata Rosa Donato. Work to be carried out, both, within 100 days. Furthermore, from the report of the school buildings maintenance service department which carried out an inspection of the building, it emerged that the rooms on the ground floor and first floor of the building with entrance from via Santa Eustochia (fourth and fifth floors with entrance from via XXIV Maggio) require extraordinary maintenance work to be carried out by the owner to adapt the rooms according to the needs of the school management.
