The Feltrinelli bookshop in Messina (Via Ghibellina n. 32) will host the presentation of “Speak to me Mother”, the new book of poems and short stories by the journalist from Messina Nuccio Anselmopublished last May by La Feluca Edizioni. He will dialogue with the author Maria Teresa Collicawhile the readings will be entrusted to Beatrice Guerrera of the Theater of the 3 Professions.

This text is a hymn of love to the mother who is no longer with us. Time passes but the image of the woman lives every day in the soul of the poet who, overwhelmed by a whirlwind of emotions, alternates between sad states of mind and more serene ones. The memory of the advice, habits and all the teachings received, often at times misunderstood, is always alive.
The desire to be able to hug the much loved mother again and listen to her words again remains strong. The book uses an extensive critical preface by the Messina scholar and university professor Giuseppe Fontanelli and a note by the Sicilian writer Roberto Alajmo.
