The leader of the MotoGP World Championship, Jorge Martinwon the Indonesian Grand Prix. The Spaniard from Ducati Pramac preceded Pedro Acosta on Ktm and the world champion and main rival for the title, Francesco Bagnaia on the official Ducati, third at the end of a long and tiring comeback. He retires halfway through the race Marc Marquez due to technical problems on his Gresini team Ducati which left the track with the engine on fire. Outside too Enea Bastianini (official Ducati) who crashes with seven laps to go when he was third. Fourth in the end was the other Italian Franco Morbidelli on Ducati Pramac, in the podium area for almost the entire race
