The death toll in Israeli attacks on several residential structures in Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, has risen to at least 38. Al Jazeera writes this citing medical sources. Among the victims there were 14 children who were suffocated by the smoke from Israeli missiles: 13 were from the same family. The broadcaster reports “disturbing” images from the site of the raids, with many bodies lying on the ground in the Nasser hospital while desperate parents and relatives greet the victims, already ready for burial.
