A tragic accident occurred on the evening of June 16th in Platì, in the province of Reggio Calabria, where a woman accidentally hit her three-year-old daughter while she was reversing her car. Despite the timely intervention of the emergency services, there was nothing that could be done for the little girl.
After notifying the Locri Prosecutor’s Office, the Carabinieri who intervened on the spot carried out investigations to reconstruct the dynamics but from the findings there would be no doubt that it was an accident that turned into a tragedy.
A fatality that shocked the little girl’s family and the entire Platì. On social media, in fact, the mayor Giovanni Sarica expressed his personal and municipal administration’s message of condolence: «There is news – he wrote – that breaks the heart and in the face of which words do not seem to be enough. Platì gathers with deep emotion around the family. When a little girl passes away, the entire community is affected. A smile fades away, a dream, a life that still had so much to give and live. It is a wound that leaves us dismayed and that unites us in pain.”
