Polistena, Palazzo Sigillò becomes “House of Culture”

The Municipal Palace of Culture is a reality. Yesterday, at noon sharp, the ribbon was cut in a Corso Mazzini packed with people by the mayor Michele Tripodi together with Massimo Bray, director of the Treccani Italian Encyclopedia Institute, former Minister of Heritage, Cultural Activities and Tourism. It was Don Pino Demasi who blessed the premises. “Today we are writing the story of this wonderful book called Polistena; – said, among other things, the mayor Michele Tripodi – against the predictions of those who bet that no one would ever be able to redevelop Palazzo Sigillò (this is its name dating back to the 18th century), the municipal administration has intercepted the resources and created a wonderful and original cultural project, the result of the power of ideas, which goes beyond simple building redevelopment.
