«The province has finally opened a discussion on the institutional model. Let’s face it head on.” With the combative attitude that now distinguishes him, after weeks of debate and comparisons, Flavio Stasi he returns to talking about the Province and broadens the discussion by going further by starting a discussion on which institutional model is the best for Calabria. «I read every day, with enormous respect and interest, the interventions of many administrators regarding the topic of the Province that we had the courage to open a few weeks ago. I must say with pleasure that almost all of them are positive and mark a change of pace in the awareness of a territory that is no longer closed within its own municipal borders but which wants to move together. Now I believe the time has come to relaunch this topic as one of general interest, because it does not only concern the provinces or Sibaritide but the institutional model that we think is the best for our land”. On the topic that the Province would not be a priority over more important issues such as health, infrastructure, etc. Stasi raises: «Who can disagree, but we are faced with the choice of establishing the province or creating the twin of Sant’Orsola in Capo Trionto, because they are two different plans. Institutions are not solutions, but tools to achieve them. After all, if we had to judge the institutions with respect to the solutions implemented, on the issue of healthcare we would have to abolish the Region, the Government and the European Commission, rather than the province”.
