The political maneuvers for the renewal of the presidency of the Port System Authority of the Southern Tyrrhenian and Ionian Seas have begun, still under investigation. A highly coveted position given the importance not only of the port of Gioia Tauro, leader in transshipment in the Mediterranean and which aims to reach 4 million containers in 2024, but also of other strategic ports such as Vibo Valentia and Crotone, without forgetting Corigliano and Taureana of Palms.
The current president Andrea Agostinelli he will leave office next June (maybe even earlier?) and we want to avoid management being entrusted to an extraordinary commissioner, also because the investments being made are very huge.
Today the first procedure for the appointment of the first expired or resigning presidents of the Adsp concludes, but the appointments will not arrive before next year. And it is also in light of this that the second expression of interest launched by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport for the Calabrian Authority is expected well in advance, already in the coming months; the goal is not to be found late.
