As far as we know, Enrico Grosso will be the honorary president of the Committee to defend the Constitution and for the No to the referendum on the justice reform, promoted by the National Association of Magistrates. Grosso is a lawyer, full professor of constitutional law at the University of Turin.

“We are available to anyone as long as the widest discussion is opened, the interlocutors are all equally worthy of being involved, I hope for a discussion with everyone, even with Prime Minister Meloni and the executive”. Thus Enrico Grosso, honorary president of the Committee to defend the Constitution for the ‘No’ to the referendum on justice, during the presentation of the same Committee at the headquarters of the Anm im Cassazione, in Rome. “However, we should begin to ensure that the debate on reforms is regained by citizens”, he added.

The majority signatures for the referendum will be collected from Monday

The collection of signatures among majority parliamentarians will start next week to request the referendum confirming the justice reform, which was approved yesterday. The passage follows the formal request that the center-right group leaders of the Chamber and Senate sent to their respective general secretaries to activate the procedures and the consequent certification. This is what we learn from parliamentary sources. For deputies, 80 signatures will be needed, equal to a fifth of parliamentarians, 40 in the Senate. In the communication from the group leaders, the center-right also indicated 3 deputies and 3 senators who will follow the procedures and will then deposit the collected signatures in the Supreme Court. In the Chamber they are Sara Kelany (FdI), Enrico Costa (FI) and Simona Matone (Lega) and in the Senate Marcello Pera (FdI), Erika Stefani (Lega) and Pierantonio Zanettin (FI).
