In recent days, State Police personnel on duty at the Immigration Office of the Reggio Calabria Police Headquarters arrested a 38-year-old Georgian man in flagrante delicto, having violated the ban on re-entry into the territory of the State.

In particular, the State Police agents, employed on patrol services, walking along the streets of the urban centre, noticed the man looking out of the window of his home who was immediately recognised. In fact, the Georgian citizen, in October 2025, had been the recipient of an expulsion order by the Prefect of Reggio Calabria, with a simultaneous accompanying decree to the border issued by the Police Commissioner of Reggio Calabria and had been repatriated from the Rome Fiumicino border.

Therefore, the operators carried out checks on the identity of the subject, obtaining positive feedback via the databases in use. In light of what emerged, the mandatory arrest was carried out for violation of the ban on re-entry into the national territory, without any authorization from the Minister of the Interior, following a previous expulsion carried out. The arrest was validated by the competent Judicial Authority.

At the same time, a new expulsion order was issued, also validated by the competent Judicial Authority, and the Georgian citizen was repatriated again.
