Paris awaits a new king. An unprecedented and historic final is being staged on the red clay of Roland Garros: neither Flavio Cobolli nor Alexander Zverev, in fact, have ever won a Slam in their career. For the Italian, currently number 14 in the world, this is the opportunity of a lifetime. After losing three Major finals (Australian Open, Roland Garros and US Open), Cobolli is hunting for his first Slam title, thanks to an almost perfect path in Paris: he reached the last act losing only two sets and taking advantage of Matteo Arnaldi’s withdrawal in the semi-final. On the other side of the net is the German Alexander Zverev, number 3 in the ranking, who also starts as the favorite in the previous matches (leading 3-1). The last direct clash in Madrid went to the German, but just two weeks earlier, on the clay of Monaco, Cobolli had managed to beat him for the first time with a clear success in two sets.
