By John

The searches for 62-year-old BA disappeared yesterday afternoon in Germano, in the Sila National Park. Teams of technicians from the Sila Camigliatello and Sila Lorica Alpine Station of the Alpine and Speleological Rescue – CNSAS Calabria are involved. A technician from the research component was also present.

The alarm was triggered late yesterday afternoon, when the 62-year-old did not return to his car after a morning looking for mushrooms with a friend.

Through the Aerospace Operations Command (COA) of Poggio Renatico, the SAR (Search and Rescue) Aviation Department of the Italian Army “Sirio” Lamezia Terme has been activated which, after having embarked technical personnel from the CNSAS Calabria, is carrying out several overflights of the area interested in research.
The land searches, which continued throughout the night, resumed this morning and are concentrating near the Re di Sole Dam.

Also involved in the research on site were the technicians of the Alpine Rescue of the Guardia di Finanza (SAGF), the Forestry Carabinieri of Longobucco Cava di Melis, the Fire Brigade and members of the PFI Association (Small Independent Camera Trappers).
