Federica Brignone confirms herself as a ‘giant’ skier. The Italian, finishing second in the Lienz World Cup giant slalom in Austria, achieved her 62nd career podium behind the American champion Mikaela Shiffrin (2’05″98) who achieved victory number 92 of his career and the 146th podium just nine behind the legend Ingemar Stenmark. Brignone, fifth after the first heat, was the author of a superlative performance in the second (best heat time ) finishing 38 hundredths behind Shiffrin who returned to victory in the giant slalom in Andorra on March 19, 2023. Swedish Sara Hector was third at 45 hundredths.
