The deadline for submitting comments to the much feared emergency plan relating to the coastal fuel depots of Meridionale Petroli, currently being approved by the Prefecture, expires on 28 June. There are many criticisms, especially because the Plan places significant limitations on transit on the seafront and cancels the large car park, with repercussions on access to the beach. While civic committees, entrepreneurs and interested parties are organizing themselves to produce their own findings and alternative proposals, the municipal administration is keeping a low tone, perhaps too low.
