A morning full of emotion, memories and a sense of belonging marked the reopening of the Stadio delle Palme in Capo Milazzo. The sports facility, returned to the city after the redevelopment works carried out in recent months, was officially named in memory of Salvatore Andaloro, the historic manager of the SS Milazzo who passed away prematurely.
The ceremony took place in the presence of the SS Milazzo management, Andaloro’s family members and numerous fans, citizens and young footballers from the area, who wanted to pay homage to a much loved figure in the Milazzo sporting environment. The regional representatives of the FIGC Pippo Molino and Leonardo La Cava also participated in the event, witnesses of a day that united sporting institutions, clubs and communities in the memory of a manager who left an important mark in the history of the club.

The Stadio delle Palme will return to being a point of reference for the football activity of SS Milazzo: the facility will be used by the first team for weekly training sessions and will become the home of the youth sector. In fact, after obtaining approval, the field will also be able to host official youth team competitions, restoring full sporting vitality to a historic structure in the city. The company wanted to express heartfelt thanks to the Lucifero Foundation and to commissioner Francesco Mangano for the support offered in the redevelopment of the plant.
Special thanks were also addressed to the volunteers and companies who contributed concretely to the realization of the works: Andaloro Coating, Energo, SG Innovation, ElettroSud Spa, DEHOD srl, SEA Trasporti, Polito Edilizia, Tipografia Lombardo, Trinchera Edilizia and NewLogi Service.
The day ended with applause and moments of emotion: from today the Stadio delle Palme bears the name of Salvatore Andaloro, becoming not only a place of sport, but also a symbol of memory, passion and community for the whole of Milazzo.
