The rossoblù are back in the league after the misstep against Sampdoria. Cosenza snatches a draw from “Picco”. The match against Spezia ends goalless. A race in which Meroni and his teammates highlight the best things at the start, then they decline. In the second half, at least, they kept the goal scoreless compared to the other times in which they failed to break the deadlock.
Caserta revolutionizes the eleven after last Sunday’s match. The technician modifies the low lanes, inserting Martino and Fontanarosa. He leaves Calò on the bench, giving Viviani his first start as a starter. It also features Voca and Canotto from the beginning.
Cosenza played well for twenty minutes of the first half. The aggressiveness of the rossoblù creates some trouble for the bianconeri. The rossoblù try twice with Forte (in the 13th minute he sends his header just wide while in the 20th minute Dragowski is extraordinary in blocking his shot after a muffled shot by Canotto) and once with Marras (in the 15th minute he finds the Polish goalkeeper attentive ).
Then the home team goes up, making their first appearance in front of their fans since the exile in Cesena. Gelashvili misses the target with his header following a corner (28′), Antonucci shoots wide (36′) and Reca sensationally wastes it in the center of the area before the break (45′).
Not even the second half manages to shake things up. Venturi’s shot from inside the area, however, hit the post in the first minute of injury time, then two chances for the Bianconeri with Serpe (Micai’s save) and Amian (high shot).
