From Lipari a manifesto for the insular future of Italy. The States General of the smaller islands represented a turning point: not only comparisons and debates but a sort of “operational construction site” for the future of the smaller islands. After all, the critical issues are known, now the intervention hypotheses are also clear. At this point the challenge is to translate the commitments into concrete facts. Ensuring that the islands are “minor” only in name, but not in the services to be guaranteed to those who choose to live there. The first response to these three intense days of work which saw the presence of eleven ministers, dozens of mayors and eighty speakers will have to come from Parliament called to approve the provision which within a few weeks will define the Council of Ministers which provides financial resources for the smaller islands, aimed at providing answers on services (primarily healthcare), infrastructure (ports) and transport.
