Between millimetric dosages and geometries of power, the architecture of Occhiuto-bis Calabria takes shape, ceasing to be a simple narrative. It will not be a reversal compared to the past but a consolidation, a second period that promises to be political rather than electoral. The impression is that the re-elected president wants to face a substantial challenge by transforming stability into a model of government, and consensus in the future.
In these hours, at the Cittadella you can breathe the suspended air of the transitions of the season. The Region is about to enter its second dawn under Roberto Occhiuto. The governor wanted to open his second phase by signing two provisions on European funds for a total value of 900 million euros. A signal, rather than an administrative act, to confirm that the real game, once again, will be played on the terrain of planning and efficiency.
The regional council, meanwhile, is now on the home stretch. The launch will probably take place by Thursday, but the announcement could come sooner. After the Roman talks with the national leaders of the coalition, which served to establish the rules of engagement, Occhiuto moved along a precise perimeter with five political departments and two technical departments. From January, then, with the expansion provided for by the new national law, two more slots will open up, probably destined for the Lega (Mattiani in pole position) and Noi Moderati.
Two confirmations appear obvious: Gianluca Gallo (Forza Italia), thanks to his 30,165 preferences, will remain in Agriculture, while Giovanni Calabrese (Fratelli d’Italia, 11,351 votes) will still be the reference for Work and Training. Around them, the mosaic takes shape between rumors and negotiations. Pasqualina Straface (FI, 13,363 preferences) could join the council as a sign of attention towards the female quotas, while the Melonian Antonio Montuoro (based on his 14,251 personal votes) is considered to be on the rise for an operational position.
