The 61st edition of the TTG Travel Experience in Rimini has concluded, which saw the participation of the Calabria Region with a stand dedicated to its tourist and cultural excellence.
The Tourism Councilor of the Calabria Region, Giovanni Calabrese, participated in the event, together with the general manager of the department, Maria Antonella Cauteruccio, and industry executives, Gina Aquino, Cosimo Carmelo Caridi And Giovanni Araminispeaking in the various seminars, which took place in the Calabria stand, welcoming the exhibitors and the many visitors, to promote the Calabrian territory at a national and international level.
The Calabrese councilor personally met with the approximately 50 operators from Calabria who came to Rimini, for a moment of growth and discussion, listening to suggestions and ideas.
At the end of the three days in Rimini, councilor Calabrese spoke of “positive results”. “Calabria’s participation in the TTG – he added – was fundamental for establishing new collaborations with operators in the sector, attracting investments and giving greater visibility to a region full of tourism potential yet to be discovered”.
“We are recording positive numbers, our Region – he highlighted – is increasingly growing in its tourist offer and is increasingly a point of reference for many tourists. This is also thanks to the path started, with foresight and responsibility, together with the president Roberto Occhiuto, to the strategic plan that links tourism-work-environment, a winning asset and a true opportunity to grow our Region to demonstrate that there is a Calabria beautiful, positive and attractive. We are aware that there is a lot to do and our participation in Rimini was important not only to promote the true face of Calabria, but also to meet and discuss with operators and experts in the tourism sector”.
“Interesting and fundamental – the member of the Occhiuto Council also declared – was the briefing, also in the presence of the president of Federalberghi Fabrizio d’Agostinowith the companies, operators and accommodation facilities present in our stand which allowed us to get to know the opportunities and strengths more closely, as well as to welcome the various requests from those directly interested. We have extraordinary territories, natural resources and a cultural and historical heritage that allow us to live off tourism 365 days a year and we work to deseasonalize the offer because Calabria is not just a seaside destination. In this regard, We will soon present important measures and notices to improve and redevelop accommodation facilities, non-hotel facilities, holiday homes and the B&B network.because we want to aim for quality, innovation, traditional tourism and the strengthening of services to make the most of our riches”.
“The results – finally remarked the Calabrese councilor – are all known: in addition to the sustainable and tourist project of the cycle paths of the Parks, for which we also obtained recognition from Legambiente, investments in Calabrian airports where we record exponential numbers are very important of tourists arriving from all over the world. We are convinced of the positive model we are creating and are aiming for new perspectives. We must believe in it, the Calabrians, the entrepreneurs, the administrators with whom we will work together to network, to build a quality tourist offer and create employment and sustainability”.
Satisfaction was also expressed by the manager Cauteruccio.
“The TTG is now a cOur usual appointment to discuss budgets and new projects with operators. The 61st edition was also an opportunity to talk about the digital services to offer to our operators and new spaces for tourists who visit the Calabria Straordinaria site. The much appreciated stand, which featured the claim ‘Calabria four season’, described Calabria through colors and scents, creating four special fragrances inspired by the seasons and what the season gives us at that moment. We have received appreciation from many visitors and tourist operators: they are our strength and hope to make Calabria a region to be experienced all year round”.
