A 23-year-old young man, Marco Curia, a soldier of the Port Authority – Coast Guard who served in Campania, originally from Corigliano-Rossano in the province of Cosenza, lost his life during the night in a road accident that occurred along the A2 Mediterranean motorway, in the municipal area of Lagonegro, in the province of Potenza.
The accident involved two cars and a heavy vehicle. The victim served in the Port Authority Corps. The driver of the truck was uninjured, while a person traveling in the other car suffered minor injuries. The 118 health workers, the Fire Brigade, Anas personnel and the traffic police patrols of the Lagonegro subsection intervened on site. The Lagonegro Public Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation file and ordered the seizure of the vehicles involved. The young man’s body remains available to the judicial authorities for any medical-legal investigations.
